Morgan + Stephen

Morgan and Stephen’s wedding was my first wedding of the year, and I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding to start 2020 off with. Morgan and Stephen were an absolute dream to work with. The colors Morgan chose complimented each other so well. I’m obsessed with the pop of pink in the flowers. It was the perfect spring color palette. This is my first time photographing ombre bridesmaids dresses, and I’m in LOVE!

When I asked Morgan why they chose to get married at The Cathedral, her response was…. “The Cathedral is special to the McKean family and one of the first places I took Stephen in Mobile. Although I tried to play it cool, he knew I was showing him the church I wanted to get married in”. I thought that was so sweet! Morgan and Stephen both live in Washington DC, but Morgan grew up here in Mobile, so it was fitting that they came back to Mobile to get married.

We did a lot of the portraits at Washington Square in Mobile, and they were so dreamy surrounded by all of the gorgeous oak trees. It was overcast most of the time while we were there, but as we were wrapping up portraits the sun decided to come out, and I was so excited. We stayed a few extra minutes to capture some golden light photos, and I’m so thankful we did. That sunlight is what photographer dreams are made of!

Morgan and Stephen’s reception was a blast! It all took place at The Steeple in Mobile. Lots of fun, laughter, and celebration.
