Living on the coast has its perks… Although we are in Mobile, we love getting to be classified as Orange Beach , AL Photographers. Orange Beach is my favorite local beach. It’s close enough to us here in Mobile, and the blue water and white sandy beaches make it totally worth the hour drive over.

I love this engagement session of Mary Margaret and Lee. They were spending Memorial Day weekend at the beach and thought it would be a great opportunity to do their engagement session while being there. This was my first time meeting Mary Margaret and Lee, and I left feeling like I have known them for years.

They are some of the sweetest people, and taking their photos was so easy for me. We had such natural interaction, and Mary Margaret and Lee felt more like friends than clients.

One of the reasons I love doing engagement sessions so much is because it gives me the opportunity to really get to know my couples before I photograph them on their wedding day. I like to think of it as a practice run-through before the wedding. When I arrive on wedding day, it makes things flow so well. I’m not a stranger capturing the most important day of your life. I’m a friend. That’s the goal! And that’s exactly how it will be for Mary Margaret and Lee.

I don’t think Mary Margaret and Lee needed practice for their wedding because they were such naturals in front of the camera but do I think they will be stress-free when it comes to the photo aspect of the day because they will know what to expect. They will know me and feel so much more comfortable.

I can not wait to work with them again! Looking through these photos make me long to be at the beach again. I’m feeling like another day at Orange Beach is going to be on my schedule soon. 👌🏼
