This last weekend I got to be a Morgantown WV photographer. I travelled to West Virginia to capture Rachel and Zach’s wedding day. After all of the craziness with Covid, we were unsure if everything would still be able to take place as we originally planned, but it ended up working out, and I’m so thankful for that. I’m so glad that Rachel and Zach were still able to have the wedding that they have been planning.
Rachel is my sister-in-law’s sister so I have known her ever since Emily and Johnny have been married. While this was my first time meeting Zach, it was evident that they were made for each other, and that their relationship was meant to be. During the speeches at the reception, I loved hearing their closest friends and family give a testament to how great each of them are individually, but even how much better they are as a couple.
I kept hearing the same things repeated on how each of them are so giving, loyal, and kind, determined, and strong. Those qualities are exactly what is needed for the longevity of a relationship, and I know that they have built a foundation in their marriage that will stand the test of time.
I loved being able to shoot in a new location, and Morgantown, WV is quite a picturesque location. While the majority of my weddings take place in Alabama, I had a blast exploring all that West Virginia has to offer.
About Rachel and Zach’s Morgantown, WV wedding
Rachel and Zach got married at their church, Faith Baptist Church, where they also met for the first time over a year ago. I thought it was very sweet that they wanted to get married there since it is such a special place to both of them.
Their reception was held at the West Virginia University alumni center. Rachel graduated from West Florida University, so it was very fitting for them to get married there. Not to mention it is a beautiful event space.
Rachel and Zach were a dream couple to work with. They were photogenic and were up for anything I asked of them. We were able to get so many good photos, and I hope that they love their photos as much as I do.
Since I was working in a new state, I also enjoyed getting to meet some new wedding vendors, and even work with a new photographer. Molly Moroose was my second shooter, and she did a phenomenal job assisting me throughout the day.
Rachel and Zach, thanks you for the bottom of my heart for asking me to document such a special day for the two of you. I’m so excited for your future together, and I know you will have a lifetime of happiness.
I’m super thankful to these amazing vendors that made this Morgantown, WV wedding a success!
