Yesterday I had the best time taking engagement photos for Hilliary and Wade in Fairhope, Alabama. We were a little nervous if we would even be able to do their pictures at first.
When I arrived at our picture location, it was pouring rain. The weather said it was only a 10% chance of rain, so I wasn’t concerned about the weather. As I was driving across the bay though, I could see some dark clouds in the distance. As soon as I got into Fairhope, the rain came, and it came hard.
We decided to just hang out in our cars and pray that the weather would pass. After about 10-15 minutes, I could see the sun trying to peek through the clouds, and the rain cleared out.
Our weather can be crazy here. It will be storming one minute and sunny the next. And that’s exactly how it was yesterday. I’m so thankful the rain didn’t last, and so thankful that Hilliary and Wade were patient.
There isn’t much we can do about the weather, but since Hilliary and Wade don’t live locally, it would make it hard for us if we had to reschedule. It all worked out, and we had the most beautiful evening that ended with one of the prettiest sunsets I have ever seen. The prettiest sunsets always come after a storm.
Hilliary and Wade were so much fun to work with. It makes me so excited to work with them again on their wedding day next year!
