Michigan Wedding Photographer – Esther + Aaron

Esther and Aaron were married at Beth Haven Baptist Church and they pulled off the most beautiful summer wedding! I have to admit. I was totally spoiled with the most beautiful Michigan weather. No one told me that I was going to experience that kind of low humidity but I am totally here for it. I’m glad to be back in sweet home Alabama, but as I’m typing this it’s sweltering here in the Deep South. 😆

My husband and I were workers in the teen department when Aaron was a teenager so I was so happy to be a part of his big day and couldn’t be more proud to watch him start his forever love story with Esther. Esther is a fellow photographer, and it’s always an honor to be the wedding photographer for someone in my profession.

This bouquet! Wow, it was full of the most stunning pink and blue pastels. Have I mentioned I’m a pastel fan? Give me all of the light and airy colors. 😍 The bridesmaids wore a pretty blue color and it has turned out to be the color of the season!

Esther designed a stunning and unique backdrop for the ceremony and it displayed three beautifully hand-crafted windows. I loved that it was special + individually planned out by the bride and that her vision came to life.

Esther’s dad has a tradition of picking out her jewelry for big events in her life. I thought it was such a special moment when Esther let her dad pick out her wedding jewelry during their first look. How sweet is that? I have never seen a tradition like this, but I absolutely love it and think its adorable.

The first look took place at the church and then Esther and Aaron shared their actual first kiss at the altar during the ceremony! They took “just married” photos at Esther’s pastor’s house and of course, we did it right at golden hour in the most beautiful field. Big, wide-open spaces just make my heart happy and I know good quality photos were important to Esther, being a photographer as well.

The bride and groom left with a confetti exit to start their life together as husband and wife. Husband and wife that will grow together. That will fail together. That will learn how to live a new life together. The best part being that from now on, no matter what they’re doing, it will always be together, and that’s always the best place to be.
