Family Session at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear for the Amons Family

There’s something really special about photographing families while they’re on vacation, and this sweet extended family session at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear was such a joy. The Amons Family was visiting for a relaxing getaway, and they set aside an afternoon to capture memories with their two precious boys, parents, and grandparents all together. It was the perfect mix of relaxed, playful, and meaningful.

We started the session by the lagoon where the light filters down through the Spanish moss. The boys explored, smiled, and kept us all laughing — and their little matching outfits were just too cute. After we finished up at the lagoon, we walked down toward the bay to catch that softer late afternoon glow. If you’ve ever been to The Grand, you know how much variety there is in such a short walk. Big oaks, calm water, pretty greens, and wide open spaces. It gives a whole session that classic Point Clear feel.

One of my favorite parts of extended family sessions is watching grandparents with their grandbabies. The way they looked at these boys said everything. You can tell this whole crew adores each other, and it made photographing them so easy and natural.
