St. Francis at the Point – Belforest Point – Fairehop / Daphne, Alabama Wedding Photographer – Catherine + Chris

Catherine and Chis were married at St. Francis at the Point in Point Clear, Alabama and I have been so giddy about sharing all the details with y’all because let me tell you- this wedding was gorgeous from start to finish. For starters, Catherine was just absolutely stunning. I mean simply beautiful from the inside out, and just as kind, as she is beautiful.

Every little detail of the wedding was something that I know was super important to Catherine so these detail shots were so beautifully put together. I love her ring and the neutral palette with a splash of blush pink. Her bouquet was arranged by Jubilee Florist who always does such a fantastic job of executing the bride’s dream florals perfectly. Catherine was able to wear her mom’s veil and I thought that was such a sweet mother/daughter tribute. I’m sure it would be every girls’ dream to wear something of her mom’s on her wedding day.

The bridal party got ready at Catherine’s dad’s home and the natural light was definitely speaking my wedding photographer love language! These huge windows are literally the best thing I have ever seen. Catherine and Chris had a first look at The Grand Hotel in Fairhope, Alabama, and it totally delivered as it always does! Catherine really wanted her grandmother’s to be involved in her wedding and 1.5 years post Covid, I’m so glad they were both able to share these sweet moments in her special day.

St. Francis was the perfect church for the bride and groom to say their vows because it is special to Catherine’s grandmother and a safe place they feel is part of their family. Catherine’s grandfather’s funeral was at St. Francis and I’m certain will always hold a special place in their hearts. Catherine said St. Francis takes her breath away, and I have to say, as an Alabama wedding photographer who has seen it all, I would have to agree with her.

Catherine and Chris also loved the big windows at St. Francis- right there with ya guys! It totally worked out because it started raining right after the ceremony so inside pictures were the only option. Even in rain, with big windows, the perfect wedding photos are still achievable. I’m so glad we were able to get a few before the ceremony outdoors so that we had some variety in the photos.

The reception was held at Belforest Point because of its beautiful piece of land, luscious landscape, and because of family history. Catherine’s family actually originated in Belforest. What a cool way to commemorate this special occasion! I love that Catherine and Chris are not only sweethearts but such a fun couple as well! I wish them all the best in their new life together and have to end this blog post with advice to all couples out there from Catherine herself:

“Enjoy your day. Don’t get caught up in the little details of planning that you forget what’s most important. Getting married and starting forever with your future spouse- that is something you should never lose sight of. Things don’t always go as planned or as you want them, but that’s life and you just have to roll with it and make it fun.”
