I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I can’t think of a better post to share the day after Christmas than Emily and Robert’s wedding day. Their wedding had the perfect color palette for a Christmas wedding. The red dresses were gorgeous, and I love the little bit of blush pink that was incorporated through the flowers.
Emily and Robert’s wedding was so special for me. I have photographed Robert’s twin sister’s wedding as well as his brother’s wedding. Their family is one of my favorite families in the world, and getting to work with them again was such an honor. Every time I work with hem, I feel like I’m apart of their family. They make everyone feel so welcome. They definitely aren’t just clients, but more like friends to me! Emily’s family is just as kind. I know that Emily and Robert will have a beautiful marriage partly because of the wonderful support system they have.
Emily and Robert got married on a Sunday. I don’t usually do Sunday weddings. Andrew serves full time in ministry, and we are super involved in our church on Sundays, so Sunday weddings are hard for me to make work so I’ve just chosen not to do them. However, Emily planned her wedding around our service times so it worked out great. Plus, my associate photographer, Jaimie photographed this wedding with me so she came earlier than me and stayed later than me to make sure every moment was captured. I’m so thankful for Jaimie. She did a great job of shooting the parts of the day that I wasn’t able to be present for.
Emily and Robert shared their vows with each other after their first look. I’ve only ever seen this done once before, but I hope it is a new trend that I will be seeing more of. It is so sweet, and such an intimate moment shared between the two of them.
Emily and Robert, I can’t even put into words how much I enjoyed working with the two of you. Your joy is contagious! I love the way you share Christ through your relationship, and I know He was glorified throughout the entire day.
