A Mississippi Wedding
Everything about Olivia and Sam’s wedding at The Old Place inspired me on Easter weekend. It was a little chilly and windy, but we were so thankful that the sun came out and the rain stayed away for this swoon-worthy outdoor wedding.
The Old Place in Gautier, Mississippi
The Old Place brings a sense of home when you are there. It is an old home located in Gautier, Mississippi and the oak trees surrounding the home leave you feeling all the things. Speaking of trees, the tree at the ceremony site was superb in every way. Any bride would be lucky to exchange vows under this beauty.
I think it’s safe to say that Olivia is just one of the most beautiful people ever. I mean, seriously. 😍 She was the picture-perfect bride and her and Sam together are literally a match made in Heaven. I’m such a fan of long veils so I’m still obsessing over her dress/veil combo.
I also can’t go any further until we discuss the details on this cake. Every single detail was so delicate and I know it tasted just as good as it looked. I am obsessed!
I have known Olivia and her family for years and they are just the sweetest, hard-working family you will meet. They own the Victoria Lynn Boutique and are entrepreneurs in every sense of the word. Their work ethic is something to admire and be inspired by. Every detail of the wedding was so thoroughly planned, and I could expect nothing less from this family of creatives.

Olivia had two songs pre-recorded for the wedding which was such a beautiful and thoughtful touch. One song was played for Sam before Olivia walked down the aisle. There were definitely tears shed, but above all, Sam’s face when he saw Olivia warmed my heart. The other song was played for the father-daughter first dance and again, the tears just kept on coming.
Olivia had all three of her sisters and her mom there to help her get ready and keep the day running smoothly. Her nephews and nieces were adorable and all had their own part in the wedding. I love when brides include their little family members in the ceremony. Of course, her sisters were bridesmaids in the wedding as well and their dresses were gorgeous. But again, this family is beautiful inside and out and I’ve never seen them not look perfect.
Olivia and Sam are a stunning couple. I wish them all the best as Sam pursues and expands his baseball career and Olivia continues to help grow her family business. I’ll just be over here drooling over each and every picture. I mean just look at them. 😍
I hope every person out there finds someone that fits them so perfectly as Sam fits Olivia. I know that it’s the best feeling in the world to wake up to someone knowing that’s your person. That’s the one person you can count on every day, and when you’re together, you’re finally home.
