I’m in love with these photos from Gentry and Matthew’s maternity session at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama. We have been trying to get together for a photoshoot for a while now and I’m so happy to have finally made it happen.
Gentry and her husband drove all the way from Jackson, Mississippi for this session. That’s some serious commitment! We decided to do a sunrise session, and I’m so glad we did. Waking up, fully dressed, and in the car when it’s still dark out probably isn’t something everyone would want to do, but the pictures are always worth it. I love when I have clients that will do whatever it takes for that perfect shot.
Gentry and Matthew are those people that you feel like you have known forever. We immediately connected and got along so well that I could have easily spent the whole day with them! Not only is Gentry absolutely stunning-I mean seriously, her pregnant belly is the cutest thing ever, but she is beautiful on the inside as well.
Their baby boy is going to be so loved by his mom and dad, and I can’t wait to see them blossom as parents!
Parenthood changes you. Isn’t that the understatement of the year? One minute you’re falling in love and the next, you’re bringing home a tiny car seat with a bag full of things you’re not sure what to do with. It changes your sleep patterns, your budget, your day to day life, and even your diet because I think we’ve all eaten a baby snack at least once. Am I right?
As much as parenthood changes the little things, it mostly changes your heart. It instantly makes you a little less selfish. A little less jaded by the world and it’s problems. A little less burdened by past mistakes and future uncertainties. Being a mom and a dad make you the person you were meant to be. I cannot be more excited for Gentry and a Matthew as they enter this totally new, scary, but oh so rewarding phase of life. ❤️
