Taylor and Blakes Mobile Alabama Wedding
Taylor and Blake’s Mobile, Alabama wedding was absolutely STUNNING. Y’all, I love everything about this wedding. It was a rainy day, but it did not stop us from getting a ton of gorgeous photos of these two.
In spite of the weather, Taylor was so relaxed and calm for her wedding day, a trait I always admire. I hope that all of my brides can have that easy-going attitude since the day always goes by so quickly. Taylor was so happy and the rain didn’t bring her spirits down in the least!
The details of the rings and invitations were one of my favorite details of the day. The invitations were so pretty and such a classy intro to the wedding day. Taylor’s love for flowers proved to be an on-going theme throughout all of the day’s events. Her bouquet, filled with only orchids, was absolutely beautiful and fit the esthetic of the wedding perfectly.
St. Pauls Episcopal Church Wedding
The ceremony was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church which was the perfect indoor ceremony for a rainy day. The elegant church pews provided a cozy and traditional setting for the occasion. The reception took place at Taylor’s grandparent’s estate in Grand Bay, Alabama and was the perfect venue not only because of its stately beauty, but also because of the family connection the bride and groom will always have when they think of their wedding day.
Taylor did a first-look with her dad and then with the groom. They were able to capture these sweet moments on a beautiful, Southern porch to stay dry. You can hardly see the rain in these pictures because the love is so evident and awe-inspiring. It’s hard to look at anything else. 😍
Taylor’s dress details were captivating. The bow and flower details were so uniquely Taylor and I think it was the perfect dress for her. I love the bridesmaid’s first-look as well because you can see how much Taylor is loved and adored.
Reception in Grand Bay, Alabama
The reception was held under a sailcloth tent. There were dreamy stringed lights hanging from the oak trees, and all the jaw-dropping florals to elevate the look of the tent. We were able to steal away a few moments with just the bride and groom and I got to capture some intimate moments with Taylor and Blake + some adorable pictures under this umbrella. 😍
The wedding party had a second line which is a cultural tradition that started in New Orleans. The wedding party followed a walking band under umbrellas and didn’t let the rain stop them from enjoying musical numbers and celebrating with family and friends.
The reception ended with an Auburn themed Groom’s cake and sparklers for their exit. Taylor and Blake left in Taylors Grandpa’s vintage car that was present at the Academy Awards for the famous movie, Casablanca. I thought that was such a cool story and a unique added touch to the day.
No matter what challenges Taylor and Blake face in their new lives together, I know they will meet them head on with positivity and a smile. Being a wedding photographer doesn’t show you everything about a couple by any means, but I saw enough on their wedding day to know that they see the glass half-full and are celebrators of life. What a bright and happy way to kick off your happily ever after. I wish Taylor and Blake the best of happiness in this blissful newlywed stage of life. ❤️
