Megan + Garrett

Megan and Garrett booked me for their photographer over a year ago. I have been looking forward to their wedding for some time. Over the past year, I have gotten to know Megan more than a lot of my brides. After meeting Megan at our consultation, I learned that she was a super talented hairdresser. Megan has been doing my hair for the last year, and she is fabulous! I also did Megan and Garrett’s engagement session, and Megan’s bridal portraits, so we have spent a lot of time together.

When photographing their wedding, they were more than just clients. Megan and Garrett have become friends, and their wedding was such a beautiful day to be a part of.

MY FAVORITE MOMENTS OF THE DAY

• Although I have had a few fall weddings already, I felt like Megan + Garrett’s wedding was my first fall wedding by appearance. The colors were definitely fallish, and it gave me all of the fall feelings. We might not have had cool temps on their wedding day, but looking through their photos definitely puts me in the fall spirit.
• I loved shooting at Bella Sera Gardens again. The Gardens at Bella Sera takes your breath away. Every inch of the space is perfection. The fountains, oversized swings, the open-air chapel, fire pits, and beautiful indoor space. It’s literally the perfect wedding venue.
• Megan and Garrett’s ceremony was so Christ-honoring, and it was amazing to witness and be a part of. The family joined Megan and Garrett in prayer to ask God to bless their marriage, and their relationship. Megan and Garrett washed the hands of each other as a symbol of starting things fresh, and with a clean slate. It is symbolic of spiritual purification. This was the first time I have seen this done in a ceremony, and I thought it was such a great idea.

Megan and Garret, thank you for asking me to photograph your special day. I loved working with you both, and it was an honor to document your wedding day with photos. I hope that as you look back on these photos for years to come, you will remember the happiness and joy you experienced on your wedding day.
