What a beautiful wedding Sydney and Bailey had at Fort Conde Inn. It was literally the perfect day for an outdoor wedding. I don’t know if I have ever had prettier weather for a wedding day. When you plan an outdoor wedding in Alabama, there is always a large possibility that it will be hot (no matter what month it is in) or that it will rain. Mobile is the rainiest city in the US. True story. But when the stars all align, and the weather is literally PERFECT… it makes for a fantastic day.
Sydney and Bailey had both their ceremony and reception at Fort Conde Inn. I have shot a lot of receptions at Fort Conde Inn, but I don’t think I have personally shot a ceremony there. My associates have, but I don’t think I have. I love having both ceremony and reception at the same location. The ceremony set up in the street was absolutely gorgeous! The floral arbor by Rosebud flowers was such a beautiful backdrop.
We have had the best first looks recently. I love it when the groom gets emotional. It is such a special moment, and in my opinion, is the most important part of the day. Bailey specifically said he wasn’t going to cry during the first look, so when he tears up it is that much more special. He couldn’t help but hold back all of the emotions that flooded to him when he saw Sydney for the first time.
Sydney and Bailey were a dream to work with. They were up for anything. This was the first time I have ever asked a bride to sit in the grass for photos 😂, but Sydney was truly game for anything… and it was so much fun to have such creative freedom.
Having the first look before the ceremony allowed for plenty of time to get all of the photos done before the ceremony + get more photos after the ceremony during golden hour. I loved having so much time for portraits! Because of this, there are SO many photos… This blog post is photo heavy, but it was so hard to narrow them down. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do.
