Well, 2020 is now in the past and there are so many things to reflect on. Jennie Tewell Photography has grown exponentially this year in more ways than one. I think it is safe to say it was a wild year for everyone.
My heart goes out to the sixteen brides that had to postpone, reschedule or even cancel their weddings altogether because of Covid-19. Whether it was saying goodbye to that dream guest list or residing to the fact that their big day might not be that big of a day after all, they all pushed through unforeseen circumstances.
Although some still might not have had their ceremony, I have had the most flexible brides and grooms willing to take on the new challenges that 2020 brought. Through all of the highs and lows, they’ve had the best attitudes and for that, I’m truly grateful.
Even with a global pandemic, my team and I were still able to shoot 37 weddings. I am so thankful for the photographers that make up Jennie Tewell Photography! We have shot weddings in Mobile, Alabama; Gulf Breeze, Florida; Birmingham, Alabama; Fairhope, Alabama; and West Virginia this year, and were able to capture some pretty spectacular moments.
I’m so honored to have been able to work with THE sweetest couples in 2020, and I think that I was able to form some very special bonds with them as we navigated new territory together. The communication was just overall amazing considering this different type of year that affected the wedding industry.
Of course, their commitment and love for each other gives me so much joy and makes my job that much more rewarding.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to start 2021 off with a full calendar of new brides and grooms that are ready to start their lives together. Although I’m just the girl behind the lens, I get to freeze the most beautiful moments in time. Moments that steal our hearts and make us new and better human beings. These moments can only be summed up as pure happiness and I can’t believe I get to witness it all the time. The only thing more enjoyable than capturing love on camera is sharing it with all of you.
