Okay guys, I know it’s February-and I know you’re thinking you already saw my best of 2020 post, but keep reading! I really wanted to showcase the best of my engagement sessions in 2020 as well as my weddings because the anticipation of an upcoming wedding is so undeniably exciting. These photos are something that I know brides love to look back on as much as I do. It’s such a fun part of the journey to becoming husband and wife and the love is so evident in the way they look at each other. I seriously can’t get enough of the giddy romance y’all.
It’s not always possible to do an engagement session with every couple. We do work with a lot of out of town brides which makes engagement sessions impossible sometimes. However, when we get the chance to do both, I really enjoy it. To some, I just take photos and that’s it. But to me, it’s so much more than that! I love getting to cultivate relationships with my couples and develop a personal connection with them during their engagement session. It’s also a great chance for us to have a practice session for the wedding. This time together with the bride and groom really helps them to get to know me and also helps get the jittery nerves out of the way.
It’s such an honor to be chosen to be included in the lives of my couples. I think it is safe to say that the wedding day is one of the most important days for the bride and groom, but the engagement is the first step. Before the craziness of the ceremony, before the last-minute dress fittings and cake decisions, before the remaining vows are written, these pictures are captured and shared with loved ones across the world and kept in our hearts forever.
Thank you for letting me share a little part in the beginning. The beginning of the rest of a lifetime. The beginning of the best years to come. The beginning of a romance that will deepen with time and hopefully bring blessings of family and thousands of joyous moments. Although I don’t see all of those moments, it brings me joy to catch the first part and share it with the world.
