Spring Wedding / Engagement Season in Mobile, Alabama
Well, this has been such an eventful Spring so far and I’m absolutely loving it. Nothing makes me happier and more fulfilled in my work than to see a full calendar with lots and lots of happy couples ready to commit their lives to one another on their wedding day. Another favorite part of my job is engagement sessions because it’s like showing a before and after of each couple. Engagement sessions also give the bride and groom a chance to be in front of the camera before the wedding day and get rid of those jittery, camera-shy feelings they may be having.
Ashley and William are looking forward to their summer wedding in July and I enjoyed getting to spend time with them during their session.
Ashley and Williams Springhill engagement session in Mobile, Alabama
Ashley was able to bring a couple of outfits to change into to give some different looks throughout the session. They also brought their cutie-pie, Chocolate Lab. You know I’m always a fan of dogs in engagement sessions. Look how sweet!
We started off at St Paul’s which is where William grew up attending school and church so it was nice to get to know that side of them a little bit while also giving fond and nostalgic memories for William as well. They will be getting married at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion which is another favorite venue of mine!
These pictures at the columns where the light is shining through are definitely my favorite. The light was just spectacular and that is always a perfect opportunity for sweet moments like this one. ❤️
After St. Paul’s, we made our way over to Springhill College to sneak in some pictures on The Avenue of the Oaks. It’s a very popular place to get pictures! There were probably 5-6 other photographers there as well, and I don’t blame them! It was a beautiful Spring day. When the sun is shining and the beautiful weather starts to arrive, the best thing to do is jump in the car and head to Springhill College. 😍
Hold on to these moments; to each other; to your family. The days are long but the years are short. Go on that drive. Take that job. Or quit that job. Ask her on a date. Take a day off. Whatever fulfills you the most, make it the priority, because those are the little moments that make up a lifetime. Pictures tell a story. Let that story be filled with love, happiness, and togetherness. Wherever you are, wherever you’re going, seize the little moments. The little things always end being the most important.
