Police Officer Mini Sessions

Jennie Tewell Photography recently offered free mini sessions to our local police officers and their families here in Mobile County!! I’m so thankful for our police officers and for the hours they put in serving our community. My brother-in-law is a local police officer, and I see first hand the dedication, the hours, and the commitment shown to our city!!

We had 25 couples sign up, and I was absolutely blown away by their sincere gratitude and thankfulness. We had families, couples, newlyweds, children, newborns (one week old❤️), and two of our own JTP couples!! It was so good to catch up with Kelly +Joshua and Megan + Nick. We had photographed both of their weddings, and it was so good to see them again!!! (Kelly and Joshua were the couple with the one-week-old baby!!)

Before the sessions, I reached out to some of my favorite vendors around Mobile, and I was so thankful that five of them were willing to share in this day with us!! Ellen Jay Sweets is my absolute favorite sweets boutique here in our city. They have the BEST sugar cookies!! They donated 25 baskets of goodies for all our police officer families. Carpe Diem is the cutest local coffee shop!! I have just recently discovered I like coffee, and this has become my go-to place!! They donated 25 bags of coffee to the families. Meat Boss and Foosackly’s both donated a free meal, and The Mediterranean Sandwich Company offered $15 gift cards to everyone!! I loved that these local vendors were so willing to join us in offering our thanks. They will all continue to be my favorites!!😉

We had originally planned to shoot the photos at Springhill College, but the weather predicted 90% chance of rain.😳 Our schedules were completely full, so I knew we had to complete the sessions that Saturday!! The day before, I called around to a lot of local greenhouses, and Bryant Nursery in Semmes gave us free reign of their entire, beautiful property. I was so appreciative of their support and thankful for their willingness to help!!! Fortunately the rain held off until we finished with our last client, and then it began to pour as we drove away. It was such a blessing to be able to shoot everything outdoors, but I was also thankful we had a place to go in case it had rained!!

The photos I’m posting are just a few of my favorites!! There were so many images to choose from, but it would be impossible to show them all!! I highlighted a few of them, and my heart is full even as I edit a few more. These people give so much time and energy to our safety, and we here at JTP deeply appreciate every police officer out there!!

I want to give a special thanks to my associate photographer, Brianna. She volunteered her time that day to help me. There was no way I would have been able to fit everyone in,and she photographed half of the families!!

Once again, thank you to all police officers here in Mobile and all across our country!! We truly do appreciate your service!!!!
