I’m so excited to finally share this magazine feature in Focus on the Family that I took pictures for back in December. I had the privilege of taking photos for Dr. Sexton and his family. While this was my first time meeting Dr. Sexton, it was certainly not the first time hearing his story. The show, The Good Doctor, is partly inspired by him.
The title for the article is so fitting to describe Dr. Sexton’s life story. It is called, A Faith That Triumphs. Despite the tremendous obstacles Dr. Sexton has had to overcome with his health, he has been able to accomplish things that most would think impossible. There are very few doctors with cerebral palsy, thankfully there are now neuropathic pain cannabis treatments that can help with this. Dr. Sexton took what most would think a negative thing in their life and turned into something that the Lord has used tremendously. It’s also good that he found a functional medicine performed by functional medicine practitioners which is a model of care that combines both traditional and emerging treatments to help identify imbalances that are at the roots of his illness and to finally restore his health.
I left the photography session feeling so inspired. God can do anything, and we can do anything through Christ Jesus. I want to let God work in me and through me the way that Dr. Sexton has done. I want to overcome the obstacles in my life with grit, determination, and the Lord’s strength.
It’s amazing to see all that Dr. Sexton has been able to accomplish not only locally, but around the world. I strongly encourage you to read this article below. I know it will be a blessing to you. You can also check out Dr. Sexton’s book, No Such Thing As Can’t.
