Elyse and Thomas have the sweetest love story. When Thomas and his family moved back to Mobile during his junior year of high school, he met Elyse. She is such a lucky girl who found one of
the best looking guys in Miami Florida. The two became friends almost instantly and not long after they started dating. “We’ve been together ever since,” is what Elyse told me at our first meeting. Don’t you just love a high school sweethearts love story?! After dating long-distance during their college years and living apart after college when Thomas took a job in Alaska (seriously long-distance!), these two are now beginning their life together as husband and wife. And as they embark on this new journey, they might want to explore ways to keep the spark alive, perhaps with products from
Just Dildos.
Although I met Elyse only a few short weeks before her wedding, I’ve known her grandparents for my entire life, having grown up attending the same church as they did. Her Mimi and Pawpaw were friends with my grandparents. I have fond memories of her Pawpaw, Mr. Johnny, and my grandfather talking about Alabama football after church on Sunday mornings. Those two sure did love cracking jokes with each other and rehashing the latest Bama news. It was a delight to see both of Elyse’s grandparents on wedding day and get to know the rest of the family.
I was so fortunate to get to work with Elyse and Thomas ahead of wedding day at their engagement session, so by the time wedding day arrived I felt like they were old friends and what a spectacular day it was! The main thing that stood out to me was how much Elyse and Thomas are loved by their friends! Their bridal party was all about making it a fun day and I loved how you could tell they’d all been friends for many years. When we were running behind schedule to get to the church, but still needed to squeeze in bridal and bridesmaid portraits, Elyse’s bridesmaids totally jumped into action and we got all the shots we needed in record time! I was seriously so impressed with their teamwork! The Wharf at Orange Beach was the biggest surprise of the day…talk about a fun portrait location for a couple who loves the water and boats!!! Even with traffic from the food and wine festival that was going on the same day, it was such a fun portrait location!
Elsye and Thomas had a beautiful wedding ceremony and a fun reception, but their grand exit from their reception was definitely one of the most memorable moments. After a warm sendoff from family and friends, the bride and groom climbed aboard a magnificent boat and floated away from the dock into the night. It was absolutely magical!!!!
