Summer days spent along Fairhope Pier are some of my favorite. When Nicole and Darrell reached out to us about doing an engagement session, they knew they wanted to do it in Fairhope where Darrell is from. We chose to do them at the pier + at the park right near the pier. It was the perfect location for their engagement session.
It was pouring rain just minutes before their pictures, and then the rain cleared out, and the weather worked in our favor. I don’t know if I have ever seen a prettier sunset. The great thing about southern rain showers we get almost daily is usually the come and go pretty quickly.
The nice thing about doing pictures on the bay or at the Fairhope Pier is that there is a constant breeze, and it doesn’t get overly hot. It makes the perfect location for a summer shoot.
Brianna did their session, and she captured this season of Nicole and Darrell’s life perfectly.
I remember being engaged, and thinking that that season of engagement was going to just drag by because we were so eager to get married, but in all reality, it flew by. It went so fast. I’m so thankful that Andrew and I took engagement photos. Even though they looked so different than engagement sessions do now, they are still so special to me. We did our engagement pictures at a studio in the mall. Ha! We still love to look at them, and it brings back so many memories.
